Lorne loves finance so you don’t have to (seriously, he plays with Excel sheets on vacation!) He spent 12 years in corporate London as an investment analyst then made the jump to Boulder, Colorado to act as finance mentor to high impact companies at The Unreasonable Institute, Girl Effect Accelerator and Singularity University. He has an MBA from IE business school in Madrid, Spain (ranked 8th in the world) and is a Quickbooks Pro Adviser with a certificate in Advanced Financial Modeling from London School of Business and Finance. He used to be a professional ski racer, hates mushrooms and adores his two little girls, Amber and Lyla.

Verity makes finance fun. From jargon buzzers to funny ice-breaker games, she’s on a one-woman mission to make sure you’re never bored. She also started a company in London that won the Yahoo! Finds of the Year 2009 and subsequently she was named one of the top 100 in the Courvoisier Future 500, ‘an elite network of the rising stars in the UK’ so is intimately familiar with the struggles of being an entrepreneur. She then spent 3 years at the Unreasonable Institute as their VP of Operations supporting incredible entrepreneurs, before joining Simple Startup where we also support incredible entrepreneurs! She has an MBA from IE business school in Madrid, Spain (ranked 8th in the world), loves to ski, kitesurf, bike, hike, dance….. (I know, we’re exhausted just reading it) and most of all, adores going on mini-adventures with her kids.

Bryan brings years of successful executive experience where his team successfully built and sold an organization to private equity. He brings expertise in directional strategy and operational alignment, which helps Simple Startup ensure we are offering what our customers most value, delivered in a way that makes them refer us to their friends!
Bryan grew up in western Washington State. Not surprising, he is a huge believer of Sasquatch (is it a right-of-passage, or a firm belief?). He loves the rain, has never used an umbrella, and is a huge Seahawks fan.
He now resides in Utah with his wife, four children and one yappy mini schnauzer. He continues to play sports when family time allows, is a daily gym goer, and loves making new memories with the fam.

Bert is a serial entrepreneur. He started multiple successful businesses ventures ranging from control room and furniture sales to real estate investments to movie theater operation. Due to the accounting complexity of dealing with such diverse ventures, he went back to school, earned his Master’s degree in accounting, and then passed the CPA exam, becoming a licensed Certified Public Accountant who could deal with it all himself. Bert is passionate about using his incredible experience to help other entrepreneurs succeed. He is both a morning person AND a night owl, loves every kind of outdoor sport imaginable, is still happily married to his high school sweetheart (awwww) and has 5 incredible kids, many of whom are entrepreneurs themselves.

Yatin is senior accountant at Simple Startup. He has received his chartered accountant credentials and is from India. Yatin has years of experience in accounting and finance, and brings a tremendous amount of expertise and enthusiasm to his work.
When he’s not crunching numbers, Yatin enjoys outdoor sports, especially cricket (where he’s an all-rounder) and badminton. He loves travelling to natural and adventurous places and is a big fan of Gujarati folk music.
He also is passionate about suspense-thriller movies and always seeks new experiences in life.

Rushabh is from India and has a fun-loving and friendly personality. He is very passionate about sports, especially cricket and soccer. He also loves movies, especially suspense and comedy movies. He enjoys music and likes to travel.

Lavina is a Staff Accountant with Simple Startup based in India. She started her career working as a fundamental research analyst for a textile group as their Head of Accounts Department. She has her QuickBooks Online Certification which has allowed her to maximize client’s use of the online accounting portal. In her spare time, Lavina enjoys cooking (and eating 🙂 ), and sharing her recipes on repeat with her close family and friends. A lover of learning new things, Lavina recently trained in rifle shooting!

Outside of her career, Raji lives with her hubby and two kids in Bangalore. She is passionate about designing clothing and costumes for herself and her children and loves spending most of her free time enjoying her family.
